Treats for a Friend

I went to North Georgia College and State University and not only is it the state's second oldest university and the first to admit women, but it is also one of only six senior military colleges in the United States. While I wasn't part of the Corps of Cadets, the majority of my friends were. Many of those friends commissioned into the Army or Marine Corps upon graduation.

One of those friends was recently sent to Iraq to serve and I thought it would be nice to send a care package full of homemade treats his way.

I made brownies, chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles. [On a side note, I'm worried I might have baked the chocolate chip cookies a teensy bit too long as they are not as chewy and soft as I wanted them to be.] Google says (yes, I google everything!) that chewy cookies are the best to ship because they won't crumble in transit. I'm just hoping the package makes it in one piece and the contents are edible! If not, at least they *look* good!! HA!

Brownies

Chocolate Chip

Snickerdoodles

All packaged up -
complete with my Preppy Paper Girl gift tag!

That's so sweet of you. He'll love everything, I'm sure. I once sent TLS soft-baked cookies in the mail, and they ended up sticking and turned into one giant cookie in transit, so if they are a little hard, it's ok. :)
