My friend Danielle over at Well, That's Just Fabulous is currently taking a blogging hiatus [sad for her faithful followers, but good for her state of mind]. However, her Fabulous Friday tradition was enjoyed by so many bloggers that she has arranged for it to continue - by allowing some of her friends to guest host each Friday!

I am lucky enough to be her first guest blogger for this week's Fabulous Friday! I am letting you all know because it would just make me so thrilled if you all participated. Seriously, I hope all of you join in and I'm even telling you the theme 2 days ahead of time so you can all prepare your posts!

I have to admit that this week's theme is somewhat self-serving, but I do hope that all of you enjoy it. Since I am moving to a new place in less than 2 weeks, my creative juices have started flowing and all I can think about is interior design! This week's theme is fabulous interior spaces. My post will feature dream spaces that I wish I had or some that I am going to draw inspiration from, but yours can be your own space that you've created if you'd like! The possibilities are endless!

Whenever I'm shopping for a gift, whether it's for a friend's birthday or a housewarming party, I always check out these places:

Uncommon Goods has such creative and unusual products. I've found great little things here for the bf. I have loved Red Envelope since my days in high school. I purchased my first monogrammed ring from RE and I still have it. I once got an ex-boyfriend a beautiful wood valet for his wallet, watch, etc. It came wrapped in a red box with a big white bow. Quite the showstopper. There are great gifts here for your Mom too! And of course I had to include Paper Source because I am obsessed with paper products and I love to give them as gifts.

When I'm shopping for myself, a few stand-by's include:

I like to consider my style "classic." Sure, I buy trendy pieces, but they are usually inexpensive and are donated by the end of the season. Many of my classic pieces come from J Crew and Gap. I love J Crew for their soft fabrics, delicate styles and durability. I still have a pair of kelly green shorts that I bought at least 6 summers ago. They are in great shape and are still a great fit. Gap is where I go for denim. Since I'm petite, it's hard to find jeans that fit right. Gap makes most of their regular styles in petite {well, they call it ankle} so I never feel like I'm sacrificing style for fit. As for Target, who doesn't love it? I buy everything from face wash to maxi-dresses and birthday cards to dog food here. It's my one stop shop!

Fabulous Friday - Frozen Yogurt!

I've got NO time today, but wanted to do a quick post for FABULOUS FRIDAY! This week's theme is frozen yogurt...since moving to Los Angeles, I've noticed the biggest trend in frozen yogurt joints - the original Pinkberry and all other imaginable variations such as Yogurtland, Menchies, Red Mango, and Froyolife. Personally, I think they're all about the same, but I tried Menchies a couple of weeks ago, and thought it was pretty tasty.

Their yogurt flavors are endless, but I like to stick to the original tart. As for toppings, I go for strawberry, kiwi and CHEESECAKE BITS! Those things are delicious!

I have never seen this kind of yogurt sold on the East Coast. Maybe I was just missing out, but I didn't hear of it until I moved to California. I took two of my best friends from Georgia to Pinkberry when they came to visit, but they really didn't like it. I think they couldn't get over the tart flavor.

Okay, I've really got to go - my boss is breathing down my neck to get all of my work done before the weekend starts...I thought Friday was supposed to be a lazy day. I guess my boss didn't get the memo! :)

In other news, I wanted to mention one of my favorite bloggers is co-hosting a Blog Bake-Off and there is going to be a grand prize awarded to the best entry!! How fun! Fabulous Friday - Summer Treats!

Time for another edition of Fabulous Friday!

Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches - In my opinion, the best thing ever invented for those of us watching our waistlines! One of these delicious treats is only 2 WW points. Visit the Skinny Cow website and sign up for the newsletter to get valuable coupons.

Ice Cold Ice Water - nothing is better on a hot summer day than a cold glass of water, filled to the brim with ice and topped off with a lemon slice. So refreshing!

Strawberry Shortcake made with Biscuits - nothing says summer like my mom's simple strawberry shortcake using a Bisquick biscuit, covering it with juicy sugar-y strawberries and a dollop of homemade whipped cream!

Gelato - Italy's version of ice cream (read about it here). I fell in love with this cold treat when I was studying abroad in Spain. Then I found even better gelato when my family went to Italy over Thanksgiving several years ago. Even though it was the middle of winter, I managed to find a gelato shop every day!

I simply must know...

Fabulous Friday - Summer Drinks!

Happy Friday! I hope all of you are having a great day and are looking forward to the weekend! I have tentative plans, but we'll see if they actually work out.

Fabulous Friday - Summer TV!

FABULOUS SUMMER TV

I ♥ this topic because I am OBSESSED with my shows - Gossip Girl, One Tree Hill, CSI: Miami, Brothers and Sisters, In Plain Sight, NCIS, Law and Order, 18 Kids and Counting...am I sounding like a loser yet??! But now, networks have come out with a new string of shows premiering this summer (or restarting their next season) and I am so excited!

Here's what I'm looking forward to:

I just love The Closer. Kyra Sedgwick as Brenda is fierce.

Ruby, how I love Ruby! Her show is an inspiration and her positive attitude is really refreshing! She knows she has to lose a huge amount of weight, but she doesn't quit or give up! It's on the Style Network, July 5 at 8 pm.

USA just doesn't quit with their EXCESSIVE promos for this show! I think Royal Pains has potential so I'm going to watch and see if it lives up to all the hype. Premieres June 4 at 10 pm. (right after Burn Notice)

Sorry for my absence in the blog world this week - I've been so busy with work and school! I am ready for a relaxing weekend, that's for sure! Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the All Things Summer Swap I'm hosting. I'm excited to see the matches and start shopping for my partner. I have a couple of blog awards to post about and some pictures to show of great goodies I've gotten in the mail recently. I just can't find the time or energy to get these things posted - hopefully sometime this weekend!
