My Day at Disneyland {and other stuff too}

Good morning lovelies! I have had a busy weekend and definitely did not get enough sleep last night, but it's okay because today is the start of a short work week and holiday weekend. I'm so excited about the 4th of July because we are having friends over for a pool party and bbq...should be lots of fun!

So let's talk about my weekend, shall we?! It basically started on Thursday night when the bf and I went to Hollywood to see some bands play at Hotel Cafe. We were hanging out with one of our good friends who is moving back to Sweden in a couple of weeks. We're sad to see her go, but I think she'll be coming back for a job in October.

On Friday night the bf got off really late from work so we only had time to eat dinner before sleepy-ness overtook us! Of course we went to our standby favorite, PF Chang's. I think I'm addicted.

On Saturday I did a little shopping and went to the eye doctor for a check up. My vision has gotten worse since last year, but luckily my eyes are still healthy. It is GREAT being able to see more clearly. Plus I got new contacts so no more itchy, irritated eyes for me!! I'm really excited about this because my old contacts had been giving me so many problems.

Saturday night, the bf and I went to eat dinner at another favorite place, BJ's Brewery. I was seriously craving a hamburger, but I wouldn't recommend one from this place. They are weird and come out on a french roll...strange. Needless to say, my hamburger craving is not settled, and I see myself binging at Fuddruckers soon! After dinner, we decided to go look at flat panel televisions. The bf and I still have {I should say had} a huge tube tv that weighs a ton and takes up so much space. We decided to buy a 46" flat panel! It's awesomely huge. I'll take a picture of it for you all to see. I can't wait to play Wii on it :)

Sunday was a big day for me because we went to Disneyland! I have never been before so I'm glad I finally got to go. It's definitely not as large as Disneyworld, but it was still so much fun. We decided to go later in the afternoon and stay late (they were open until midnight). I'm glad we waited because it was a HOT day while the sun was shining.

Without further ado, a selection of the 10000000 photos I took yesterday...HA!

Who is this dork wearing the Disneyland shirt?? Oh, that's my bf...HA!

a Mickey shaped pretzel - adorable!

the teacup is spinning so fast, action shots!

getting kinda bored on the Autopia

So sad to see my Disney day come to an end :(

Now it's time to catch up on my Google Reader...lots of posts to read!

How was your weekend?

It sounds like you had a fantastic weekend! I've never been to CA., let alone Disneyland. It looks like you and the bf had a great time. I love his Mickey t-shirt!

Happy Monday!

Sounds like you had a blast this past weekend!! :D Sadly,I have never been to any of the places but they all sound wonderful! Especially Disneyland! Been to Disneyworld but not there. Love all the pics and you and bf are too cute!

What I love about Disneyland is that you can do it in a day. I feel like Disneyworld needs at least a few days!

I've never noticed the weird burgers at BJs-I usually eat the pizza. Did you have a pizzookie after??

Phoenix said...

Thanks for your kind comments. Next time: pizookie. :)

My weekend was good - stayed on plan with diet, got in some lovely walks and spent time with my boyfriend trying to brainstorm ideas for our 5 year anniversary! ah!

So cute! I've never been to Disneyland. Growing up in south Florida, I went to D-world all the time though. Happiest place on earth!

I love Disneyland! I had an annual pass for several years when I lived in CA. Now that I moved to TX, I miss it so much! How bad is that?...some people have never even been and I miss not being able to go once a month or on a Friday night. :/ Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Glad I could live vicariously through you. :)

What a fun weekend! I haven't been to Disneyland in YEARS!! Can't wait to see the new TV...we have a flat-panel mounted on our wall and we love it. We had a plasma, but it died. :( I guess I watch too much TV or something.

We had a good weekend...took the kids to Ocracoke Island, NC. Of course, now I'm covered in mosquito bites, but...oh well...we had fun and that's what matters, right??

Wow...you had such a busy weekend! I would love to go to Disneyland sometime. I have been to Disneyworld and it is a blast. I actually just went in March without the hubby and daughter. I decided I wanted to just go and be like a kid again, not having to worry about anyone but myself :-). I'm glad you had a great weekend and enjoy your upcoming BBQ!

If you get a chance, could you check put my recent blog and spread the word ;-)

Thank you,
Catrina

My parents once boarded the whole family on a train for a cross-country trip to L.A. so that I could spend my 8th birthday at Disneyland! It was the birthday of a little girl's dreams. As I recall, I ONLY wanted to ride the teacups.

It looks like you had so much fun! :)

I have not been to Disney Land as an adult! Last time I was there I was four years old. So, it was really cool to live through your pics!!

I want one of those Mickey pretzels!!! I don't think we have one at Disney World. I'm so glad you had a great time! Isn't so fun to be a kid again? I love going to Disney World and hope to go to Disneyland someday.

You are so cute... I love the last photo. :)

Disneyland is so fun. I went last year with Danielle. I love the Southern CA weather in the summer. You can actually go to Disney and not be miserable. :)

I'm with you on PF Changs... LOVE. It's so good and I usually don't like Chinese food, which is funny b/c I've been to China twice. In rural China, it's very hard to find American food.

Hamburgers~ Do you like In-n-Out? I love their burgers.
