I'm back from Vegas! I always forget the toll the drive takes on you. Even though it is only 4 hours or so, on the way there it was POURING rain the first half so it took a lot longer than normal. Then on the way back it was incredibly windy so we had to drive a little more cautiously than normal. But anyway, the trip was fun and it was great to see my dad for the weekend. He was there on business and was staying at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club in a suite. It was awesome! Troy lived in Vegas before moving to LA and I've been there a lot too. My parents actually surprised me on my 21st birthday by taking me and two friends there! So we're familiar with the area, but it's always so fun to go back and gamble a little, eat at the buffets, etc...
On Saturday we went to eat lunch at Hooters Casino (my dad had a gift certificate) and we gambled there for a while...I lost around $35 or so. We ate dinner at Hofbrauhaus which is always a fun time. This morning we ate at the Harrah's breakfast buffet and decided to gamble a little more. Dad gave me $40 and I was playing the penny machines (those are my fave). I won like $50 and decided to cash out while I was ahead. Then I wanted to take my other $20 and play roulette. That is so nervewracking, but I ended up $20 up - I have intuition, what can I say?!
Anyway, I decided to take that $20 and play a few more slots. I landed at a Price is Right nickel machine and hit the bonus game on max met - I won over $200! It was amazing! So with my combined winnings from the morning, I decided to buy a Coach purse that I've been wanting for a while! I mean, it was free money so I don't really feel too badly for spending it on such a big splurge. I'll post a pic soon too!!
As for my "lifestyle change" this weekend...I honestly was pretty good the entire time with my food choices. It was incredibly difficult, but I think I did the best I could. I'm not used to eating out, so I still don't know the best options to choose. The hotel had a really nice gym so Troy and I went on both Saturday and Sunday and worked out for an hour each day. So that kinda combats any bad eating decision I might have made...
I'm hoping at WI tomorrow I at least maintain my 10 pound loss. We'll see! Either way, I had a great time and I'm glad I allowed myself to have fun! So if I don't lose, that's too bad but there is always next week :)

Sounds like you had a great weekend!
I would have done the same thing with my winnings. I consider that fun money :)
Good luck at WI! Sounds like you made some good choices!
