Best of the Week

Hi all!

I'm back for another recap of the best things I've seen on the web this week!

Best of the Week
March 28 - April 1, 2011

The lovely & glamorous Shasta Anne is hosting the most amazing giveaway! I'm not kidding, you will not want to miss it. It may or may not include a $100 gift card to Forever 21, and a $100 gas here to see for yourself!

My new favorite lunch item? That would be the half-size Apple Pecan Chicken Salad from Wendy's! It is seriously so delicious...I've had it twice this week. Can you believe that it is only 340 calories, and that includes all of the yummies - grilled chicken, blue cheese, dried cranberries, apple chunks, roasted pecans, and pomegranate vinaigrette dressing! You can click here to see all of the nutritional info in more detail.

Another co-worker is leaving and today is her last day. I wanted to bring in cupcakes, and I came across the most amazing recipe over at Annie's her blog! Anyway, these banana split cupcakes are pretty labor intensive, but definitely worth the effort! Please visit Annie's Eats to find the actual recipe, and to gawk at her super professional looking cupcakes! Mine are not as pretty looking, but I still think they turned out great!!

sorry for the poor quality iPhone photos

The last thing I want to share has been my lifesaver this week! I've had to wear heels every day this week for work, which is very unusual, and I wouldn't have made it through the day without these AirPlus Gel Relief Heel Savers. I stumbled across these at TJ Maxx (for $1.99!!) and decided to try them out. I'm so glad I did, they actually make wearing my heels comfortable. It comes with the heel saver and has the option of adding a gel insert (the pink & green dots at the bottom of the image) to the heel saver for additional comfort, depending on your level of activity.

That's my list this week. I'd love to know what hidden internet gems you've come across...please share in the comments!

I'm hoping for a relaxed weekend of a little bit of cleaning, a couple of trips to the gym, and sleeping in before my second job takes over my Saturdays and Sundays.

What great finds!!! I too love to gawk at Annie's Eats and your cup cakes are super cute. The heel savers are new to me, never seen those before, but I will keep my eyes peeled for them in my stores here in Austin.

I love that salad from Wendy’s. It’s such a great, healthy lunch option. Your cupcakes turned out so cute and they look like an ice cream sundae. I love it! That was so sweet of you to make them. I’m definitely going to have to look for those heel savers.

I hope you had a nice and relaxing weekend!

Ok where do I start? That salad actually looks pretty good and I'm not much of a fruit in my salad kinda person. I wish there were a Windy's near me!

And the cupcakes. oh.em.gee. delish!

Gotta try the Heel Savers! I am such a sissy with heels. I usually get pain in the balls of my feet though - you think these would work?
