Last Hawaii Recap

I'm sick of doing these recaps! Haha, I know that I'll be grateful for them later on down the road though, so here goes...

Friday
I had the best coffee of my life on Friday morning!

My mom and I went shopping and we had quite an adventure! We were at the jewelry store and decided to pick an oyster and get a pearl, for fun. Long story short, we kept getting "free gifts" and our oysters kept having 2 pearls in them each. So my mom and I both ended up with a ring, earrings, and necklace! I picked a sea turtle theme since it has ended up meaning so much to me and I feel so lucky to have these special pieces to help me remember my vacation. They're pieces of jewelry that tell a story so I love that.

My mom was leaving on Saturday so C and I wanted to take her and Dad out for a nice dinner. We decided to walk down to Shore Bird, which is right on the beach. It's a place where you grill your own food on a huge communal grill. It's so fun! Our dinner was awesome!

Saturday
Like I said earlier, Mom had to leave on Saturday so that was sad. While she was packing, we stepped out to get some breakfast and made plans to meet at the pool a little later. I don't know how we found Eggs 'n Things, but it was very popular. We had tried to go Friday morning, but the wait was just outrageous. We got there much earlier this time and were seated within half an hour. Breakfast was delicious!

We spent the rest of the early afternoon at the pool before having to take my mom to the airport. After we dropped her off, it was just Dad, me and C. We found a hidden gem on the way back from the airport and enjoyed a few cocktails and snacks.

Sunday
This was our last full day so we drove around the island and finally made it up to the North Shore. Before we went though, we had to stop at Leonard's Bakery for a famous malasada. Yummy!

We stopped at various places along the way, but the one that stands out the most is Sharks Cove. C and I swam around this reef and saw even more different fish than in Hanauma Bay.

We had to eat lunch so of course we wanted to find a famous shrimp truck. It was definitely delicious shrimp! You can write on the truck and Puffin wanted to leave his mark...

Driving around the island really doesn't take that long (maybe 3 hours). So we spent the rest of the late afternoon at the beach for the last time.

I hope you've enjoyed my Hawaii recaps. I definitely recommend a trip there, and I hope to be going back soon!

Oh, and over the weekend, I'm going to *attempt* to do a vlog to announce the winner of the Hawaii goodies so look for that next week!

Just came across your blog and I love your Hawaii pictures! I just went to Maui in August and I went surfing and picked a pearl out of an oyster as well! It was so much fun! I got a black pearl :)
