recaps start tomorrow!

I feel so lucky to have gotten to take this vacation! I wouldn't change a single thing about our trip, and am so grateful for all of the memories I have, not only with C, but my parents as well. Like I said before, we did so much that I think I need a vacation from my vacation!

I'm trying to decide the best way to recap my trip. Hopefully I don't bore you with it, but I want to be able to have these posts to look back on and remember all the good times we had. I think the best way is to break it up into segments, each recapping a set of days. I may do one or more posts on any day because I may want to highlight some of the activities we did or places we ate, in more detail. Anyway, I hope I don't bore anyone over the next week or so with my recaps.

Oh! One more thing - I had a lot of fun shopping for treats for the giveaway package. I've yet to draw a winner so look for that announcement in one of the upcoming posts.

First things first, C and I were very prepared for this vacation. We had done so much research on the activities we wanted to do, the places we wanted to eat, the best places to watch a sunset, the last remaining tiki bars on the island, etc., etc., etc...

We created a Hawaii-File-O (get it??!) with all the addresses, hours, and reviews of the places we wanted to go. Absurd? Yes. Helpful? Immensely! I highly recommend doing your research before heading to Oahu because there are so many tourist traps and places that will disappoint you and waste your money.

And FYI, we have a pet. He's a stuffed puffin, named Puffin (of course), that goes with us on all of our trips. We got him from the Long Beach Aquarium way back when we first started dating so he's pretty important to us. Don't be surprised if you see pictures of Puffin scattered all throughout these recaps. And I promise we're not crazy :)

Stay tuned for more, starting tomorrow!

Welcome home, friend! I got the postcard you sent to me and it was so thoughtful and sweet of you :)

I really look forward to reading your recaps and I’m so happy you were able to have such a memorable vacation that you could share with your family and C. When we got back from Hawaii, it was so fun to write the recaps and relive my trip. Having it on the blog is great because you’ll always have it to look back at whenever you need a smile. I swear I am going back to Hawaii someday. It really was the most beautiful place that I have ever been to.

I also think it’s great that you guys did your homework. I love the “Hawaii File-O”…so cute! We did some research, but not nearly enough as you guys.
