I've really tried to edit myself with the pictures, but there are just so many that I want to share with all of you. This is just a preview, as I'll probably be doing a day-by-day breakdown when I get back and have time to sit down. We have been going, going, going and have hardly been in our hotel room except to sleep. Hawaii is absolutely amazing, and I'm so glad we have 5 more days to explore!
We arrived last Thursday, and this rainbow was waiting for us outside of our hotel room!
We went a *little* crazy with the Hawaiian outfits! Keep in mind this is for four people - C, me, my Mom, and my Dad...
Going out for drinks on the first night.
On Friday morning, we walked to Cream Pot, a restaurant I heard about while doing research. It was the cutest place I've ever seen...very Anthropologie-like, and the food was AMAZING!
Spotted at Cream Pot: a lady wearing Lilly!
My breakfast! Banana french toast with salted caramel sauce...delicious!
On Saturday morning, Mom bought me my first real lei. It was so pretty and smelled like perfume.
We all went to the Aloha Flea Market. Fun, but hot, hot, hot. The solution? Shave ice!
C and I were excited to get to go to Hanauma Bay, one of the most beautiful places on Oahu. The snorkeling is really good here, and we swam with a Hawaiian sea turtle (a honu), which was awesome!
On our bus ride back to the hotel from Hanauma Bay, we saw Puka Dog! Very yummy and unique hot dogs.
On Sunday morning, C and I hiked up Diamond Head and got a 360 degree view of the island.
After our hike, we ate at Rainbow Drive-In, a local favorite!
We did a little shopping at Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts. Can you see me??! :)
After a busy day, we stopped in at Arnold's Beach Bar for a drink. My dad comes to Hawaii every year for business, and this is one of his hangouts!
We are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and we have our own lagoon!
On Monday night, we went to a fabulous luau at the Hale Koa Hotel.
On Tuesday morning, we went on a submarine tour. We were 108 feet below, and we went even lower to 118 feet! We saw a black tip reef shark, sea turtles, barracudas, spotted eagle rays, and lots of other little sea creatures.
Our tower (the hotel has 4) - the Grand Waikikian.
On Tuesday night, we went on a sunset dinner cruise, the Navatek I!
After the cruise, C and I went back to Arnold's for a couple of drinks. It's about a half mile walk from our hotel so we've spent a lot of time there!
Here's the view from our balcony at nighttime.
On Wednesday, we went back to Hanauma Bay and snorkeled some more. We saw dozens of different fish and also swam with about 4 or 5 different sea turtles!
After snorkeling, C and I made our way to Kona Brewing Company for a drink.
The restaurant was on a marina so we had a great view!
Like I said, a lot of pictures!
Today, we have our surfing lesson and I'm a little nervous! Hopefully I make it out alive!
I hope all of you are having a great week! I haven't had a chance to check on all of you, but I'll be sure to read your blogs once I get back.
A hui hou kakou!

These photos are bringing back such happy memories from when Geof and I were in Hawaii last year. I think it’s so special you’re there with your family and C. I loved the Hilton Hawaiian Village when we visited. It was huge and there was a lot to do there. I’m so glad you hiked Diamond Head and visited Hanauma Bay. Both are so beautiful!
Let me guess, you got that raft from the ABC Store ;)
Enjoy yourself…xoxo

Oh my goodness those pictures are amazing!! Looks like you had an absolutely wonderful time!! I am so jealous though!!!
What wonderful photos!!! I think the rainbows in Hawaii are so breathtaking!!! Waikiki was my favorite spot for food and shopping. When we visited we stayed with my sister in Pearl City. Hiking Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, seeing the North Shore and the Pineapple fields were so much fun!!! But I think my favorite of our trip to Hawaii was shopping at the SWAP meet and going out to a sandbar off of the military base. That's where we were inches from a hammerhead shark chasing a dog. LOL!!!
I'm so glad you had such a fabulous trip!!! You look gorgeous in your authentic attire too!!! Can't wait to see more photos and here more stories!!! And thank you so much for my wonderful postcard. Definitely brightened up my day!!!
Love you friend!!! XOXO
Whew! You all certainly are having some amazing times :o) It is so fun reading your posts and being "with You" through your great photos!
Ah, yes, it seems like you can always see a rainbow somewhere on the islands at some point of the day! Beautiful! Love your aloha shirts :o)
Blessings & Aloha!
