Happy New Year!

It's that time again....time to announce our new year resolutions to the world. Except I'm not making "resolutions" this year because, let's face it, I only stuck with my 2010 resolutions for about 2.5 seconds (okay, a couple of months). Instead, I am just going to make a list of things I want to accomplish and do, starting now.

Find a new job that allows me to reach my full potential instead of hindering me from doing so.

Move (from my apartment, but more importantly, from LA).

Seriously, pay my bills!

Get engaged..I kid, I kid...(sort of...)

Read 2 (or more!!) new books a month on my cool Nook. I'd love any suggestions on what to buy...I mostly read mystery/crime novels (think Kay Scarpetta and the Body Farm) and quick, fun romantic comedy reads.

Eat healthier.

Get back into blogging. I enjoy being a part of this community, but I feel like my blog has taken a turn for the worst. I have over 700 followers, but hardly get feedback from anyone. I am mostly to blame for this because I have not been the best at responding to comments or getting back to people. But honestly, it's discouraging and I'd like to find my place again in the blogging world.

Comment on 5 blogs a day.

Actually use my $45/month gym membership instead of just thinking about it.

Take at least one picture a day.

Go home to see my best friend after she has her baby.

Start planning my Christmas presents for next year. I want to get my Mom and Dad an awesome present, as well as my brothers and their families.

Plan my weekly menu and set a budget of $75 for groceries a week.

Cut coupons!!

Win big in Vegas :)

What are your New Year's goals?

Have you read The Hunger Games? It's a series. It's not like anything I normally read, but I was thrilled with them! Didn't think I'd like them at all, but was so surprised.

I don't think I kept my 2010 resolutions either. In fact, I forgot them! Great goals for 2011. I too hope to eat healthier and indulge less. I ate far too many cookies this year!

Resolutions are haaaaaard. I think having general goals is good!

I read a cute Jane Green book this year - The Beach House. It wasn't anything spectatcular but it was a good beach book.

Why you leaving LA?? Where ya going? I love LA & would live there tomorrow, except for the fact that it is crazy expensive and the state is going broke.

You might like Austin. No -- Dallas. Austin isn't preppy enough.

Here;s to an AWESOME 2011!

Yay! for your list of goals! Hope you find that new job and where do you want to move to? I understand about blog time! I wish I had more time, and often manage only to return visits and reply to those that have commented on a post...I am behind in that as we speak! I would love to meet more amazing bloggers!
Enjoy your Nook :o) & an engagement to be...of course is exciting (I am so sporadic at my blog reading, please be sure to let me know, in the event I miss that future post :o)

Oh...that is why I have not committed to a gym membership fee...that I may not use it to it's full worth...but hm...maybe if I had a membership, it would motivate me to use it.

Hope you have a wonderful visit with your friend when her baby is born. I can't wait for future grandbabies (but I think I have said that before :o)
Yes, a winning would be awesome! And I love to shop throughout the year and stash them in the closet for the upcoming Christmas.

Blessings & Aloha!
Love your one picture a day blog :o)
