An Apology and A Giveaway

Happy Friday Lovelies!

I want to apologize for being such a blog slacker lately. I guess I'll blame it on being busy at work and focusing on my "get healthy, work out everyday" plan...

I still read all of your blogs faithfully and I thank you for the comments you've left on my posts. As an added note, my brother helped numerous injured people in Haiti during his time there and he is on his way back to the US now. Thank you for keeping him and the medical team he was traveling with in your prayers.

Life is stressful now, but I can't complain because I know we all go through tough times every now and then. While I'm happy, I am finding myself uber-stressed about money, the future, if I'm making the right decisions, etc. etc....BUT I won't bore you with that now, I'll save it for another post...haha!

Let's get to the good stuff, shall we?

Remember a long time ago when I did a follower appreciation post and sent random followers cookies from Sugar & Flour?! Well, I happened to be perusing Etsy the other day and was checking out my favorite sellers. I noticed that Sugar & Flour had these adorable sugar cookies in the shape of conversation hearts!

Aren't they cute?!

I'm giving one person the chance to win 2 dozen decorated cookies to be delivered just in time for Valentine's Day!

If you'd like to be entered to win, just leave a comment on this post. No need to do anything else. If you have plans for Valentine's Day, feel free to share in your comment...I need ideas! I'll draw a winner on Thursday, February 4. The winner will have 24 hours to get their address to me so I can get the cookies ordered and make sure they arrive the week of Valentine's Day!

I truly just want to say thanks to each and every one of you for being so awesome. I keep thinking I'll get back in the swing of things with posting, commenting, and sending snail mail, but the days are just passing by so quickly without me really progressing at all. I'm working on it, and I guess that's the best I can do!

Have a great weekend and be sure to enter the giveaway!

What gorgeous cookies. No plans for V-day so far. We are going to Vegas in March so we are trying to save all of our money, so it may not be much.

What an amazing thing your brother did. They will be in my prayers.

You're such a sweetie to offer this! I like your posts whenever they arrive. I know we all get busy and put things on a backburner, and I've learned - that's OK to do. Happy Valentine's a little early to you. I'm celebrating at home this year, as our anniversary is just a few days later - that's when I'll celebrate with a nice dinner out! So no helpful ideas for you, sorry.

We were engaged in St. Thomas so we're having a carribbean themed dinner! :) The best ideas are those that don't cost too much so keep that in mind :)

Ms. Sweet Tea,
There is ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong with taking some time just FOR YOUR SELF!! You are at the beginning of a whole new chapter in your life. I certainly understand this. Although I miss reading your thoughts I am happy knowing that you are busy finding your way.
These cookies are simply adorable. I really have not made plans for Valentine's Day. Would just love to spend it with the people that I love the most.
Enjoy your weekend.

Hi Angela! It’s great to “see” you again around these parts. I got on a health kick too and have been spending a lot of time at the gym lately. Life just seems to be incredibly busy these days, so I can completely understand.

That is so amazing that your brother helped the victims in Haiti. I’m glad that he and the team he traveled with are okay.

I’m thinking of you!

Please count me in for this giveaway. Those cookies are adorable and look so delicious! For Valentine’s Day the plan is to go away to CT for the weekend. I could use a few days away, so I really hope that happens…XOXO

These cookies are too cute! I think all of my coworkers would LOVE it if I won and was able to bring these tasty looking treats in to work. My Valentine's Day plans consist of trying to get my hubby to go with me to see that new all star packed film Valentine's Day. Looked like a super cute movie! Keep up the good work btw - I look forward to reading your blog. :)
